Stuck in a rabbit hole

I've come to the realization that the world is not what I thought it was. What kind of people has our planet spawned? We have women killing school children; young people strapping bombs to themselves; men cutting heads off while the victim screams in pain, on camera; plain and obvious genocide and no rescuer in sight; children and old people going hungry and without medical care in the wealthiest country in the world. It's all just too much and a person has to search really hard anymore to find beauty and truth. I am disgusted and disheartened. I keep thinking I hear horsemen.
